What a long strange trip it's been.

The "paranormal" is an interesting field of study. Too bad it's crawling with dullards and flakes on foolish missions. The World Wide Web has catapulted the various paranormal topics into weird new territory but it has also helped to generate no end of bullshit. I've finally given up on discussion boards in the paranormal realm because of all the nonsense. Various boards have served as valuable creative outlets for me over the years, so I thought I'd see if this blog might be still floating about in the cloud. I can type my precious opinions in here and do some other fun things. Maybe someone will see it, maybe not. I don't care. I've kept journals in the past and no one sees those.

Enough for now. Let's see if this thing still runs.

Is this thing on?

Thanks to the proliferation of the Internet, informed opinions are a dime a dozen. That's full retail, too. Uninformed opinions are free as always. I know I am late to this bonanza, but I don't want to miss out on the opportunity to have my own opinions (some from column A, some from column B) enshrined on a hard drive somewhere. Everyone from rocket scientists, Nobel Peace Prize winners, batshit crazy artists, people who dress their cats up as Shakespearean characters, motorcycle restoration fanatics and famous musicians to deranged disbarred attorneys, radio talk show hosts and dingbat right wing paranoid lunatics has a blog, or so it seems. One more can't hurt. Can it?

This one is mainly about the UFO universe, as seen from North America. Yes, I know there are approximately a billion such blogs. I figure it must be fun to have one, and it's way cheaper than a boat. Lately I have seen some patterns emerging in the field, so I will start with those. One of the most obvious of the patterns concerns fashion. Currently, it is fashionable to remind ourselves that we really don't know where these things come from, which means somehow that it's incorrect to refer to the occupants as "aliens." Another common pastime in ufology these days is being "skeptical" of the Roswell incident. Anything that is wildly popular is sure to attract critics, if for no other reason than lots of people just like to be contrary, so this is no surprise, but it really doesn't make a lot of sense. Also growing in popularity is the "Exopolitics movement." This is now just about as popular as huffing spray paint fumes, and just about as healthy. Something must be done. There are lots of other silly things going on in the field, so I'll be busy with such low-hanging fruit while I get up to speed at running a blog. Maybe I'll get tired of it after a few posts and wander off. Maybe work will pick up again, and I won't have time for this. Oh well.

Oh. I'll be remaining anonymous for the foreseeable future. Get over it. You would not recognize my name anyway. This identity was cooked up for my participation in the "California Drone" train wreck, and I have come to like it. I'll not be discussing the drone zombie here. I plan to protect what few brain cells I have managed to keep.

Comments are welcome, but I delete posts at will. I like to run an efficient ship, which means clinkers are removed from the boiler regularly. If you disagree with me, that's fine. If you think I'm an idiot, well you are entitled to your opinion whether it is an informed one or not. If you act like an ass, you are not welcome here. Pretty simple, really.

Like many other people in the field, I have had my share of "paranormal" experiences, and I may write about them here. Maybe not. I don't believe in paranormal events any more than I believe in my house. I know it's here around me right now, and anyone who wastes their time trying to convince me otherwise is insane. In my humble opinion.

Cheers,
